Hi Karen, Thanks for flagging this and giving us a chance to walk through the increase. The 14% bump is driven by two things, in roughly equal measure. First, your account has had three losses in the last 24 months totaling $112K in incurred. Two of those were the warehouse leak claims from late 2024. Carriers re-rate frequency more aggressively than severity at this size, so even moderate counts move the renewal. Second, the carrier filed for a 6.2% rate increase in California effective March 2026. That is statewide and applies independent of your loss history.
